John Lothian Interview

I sat down with John Lothian News in London ahead of Consensus to talk about where on-chain derivatives are heading. The short version of my argument: until DeFi regulation catches up, transparency wins.

After FTX and SVB, the case for venues where positions, collateral and risk logic are visible on-chain makes itself. Serious traders want more than perps: they want options, proper risk management tools, and clearing and settlement built to the standard they already expect from traditional markets. My view has not changed since: on-chain derivatives will end up looking like futures and options markets, not gambling sites.
