So many of the projects that are started in Blockchain fail, numbers are better in other fin tech projects, but the failure rate, particularly for projects inside internal companies is very high.

Regulatory Technology
A less exciting, but consistently producing area is regulatory technology, and technologies being generated from regulatory changes. These projects are generally mandatory, or the businesses solid, but opportunities are still frequently missed in this space to drive top line and better client relationships.
Summary
Financial Technologies are complex, projects are often under resourced. Expertise is stretched because of the bubble in Fin Tech. Making sure you succeed requires having the right expertise in place.
